Yoko is trained in Japanese traditional dance. She has performed in Japanese song concerts and dance performances at the United Nations, Japan Day at Central Park, the New York Public Library, Alvin Ailey Theater, as well as schools and hospitals throughout New York.
She has also worked with many opera companies not only as a dancer and choreographer but also as a Japanese consultant, movement coach, as well as a certified kimono dresser.
Her recent credits include On Site Opera’s world premier opera “Murasaki’s Moon” at Metropolitan Museum and Madama Butterfly with Long Island Opera and Regina Opera.
