“Sweet Voiced” Yoko Yamashita is a Japanese coloratura soprano. After college graduation, Yoko joined Shiki Theatrical Company in Japan and appeared in broadway musicals such as Lion King. Finished her two-year young artist program at Nikikai Institute and this program became the first step for her to join the opera world.
Since moving to NYC, Yoko has performed leading roles from the standard operatic repertoire including Frasquita (Carmen), Susanna and Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Stella & Olympia (Des Contes D’Hoffmann), Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Oberto (Alcina), Mille Jouvenot (Adriana Lucouvreur) , Oscar (Un Ballo in Maschera) and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) with Regina Opera, Amore Opera, New York Opera Forum and many more.
She has also appeared in several concerts as a soloist in US, Spain and Italy, including United Nations, Lang Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall.
